Italy was my first trip to Europe and it stole my heart. It is also the place I go back to as often as possible to make new discoveries and absorb the history and culture. I love the ancient cities, small towns, beautiful landscapes, and, of course, the food and wine!
What I like most about Italy is that it offers something for everyone from romantic honeymoons, multi-generation family vacations, to traveling with your friends. I think Italy is best explored slowly. Each region has its own unique way of life and food varies by region. You need time to emerge yourself in the local sights and sounds. I enjoy wondering and finding small local restaurants where I can chat with the owner and learn a few cooking tips or try a local wine that you can’t buy in a store.
Italy is best explored with a local guide who can highlight the incredibly preserved architecture and share the stories of its people. Italy has produced some of the worlds most stunning masterpieces and there is something incredible to see in every corner.
